I. Receiving and Physical Inspection

II. Testing and Performance

A. Testing:

    • Chassis are cleaned and inspected for integrity.
    • Motherboards and daughterboards undergo cleaning and testing.
    • Slots and power connectors are populated to verify proper operation under load.
    • Connectors, ports, and pins are visually inspected.
  2. Component Verification:

    • Internal memory is verified, recorded, and tested.
    • Processing units are verified, recorded, and tested.
    • Indicator lights are checked for functionality.
  3. Software and Configuration:

    • Software is validated and upgraded if necessary.
    • All configurations are cleared, and software is restored to factory defaults.
    • Network equipment is upgraded to the latest IOS version as needed.
    • Logs are reviewed for errors, and licenses are verified.
    • Diagnostic tests are run to confirm system status, and any errors are reported.

B. Performance:

  1. Live Network Testing:
    • Equipment is inserted into a live network environment for testing.
    • Router and switch ports are tested for speed capacity (100 MB, 1 GB, 10 GB, etc.) in a live network.
    • Real traffic is generated to stress-test all ports for bandwidth capacity and interface functionality.
    • Power supplies are tested under load to ensure reliability.

III. Refurbishing, Quality Control, and Shipping

A. Refurbishing:

    • After passing all tests, items are refurbished or repaired to the highest standards.

B. Quality Control:

  1. Final Inspection:
    • Before shipping, each item undergoes a final inspection, including a final cleaning process, power and post-test, and configuration confirmation.
    • Any applicable accessory kits are included.
